Kɔpem sɛ ɛno, anaa yɛn ani, bɛdane abɛhwɛ no biem.

Maadwo.

Merekyea ntetekwaasɛm a

Ayɛ sɛ aka awia ho atɔ yi.

Yɛbɛbooboo nsɛm ho wɔ bosomehan no mu

Na yɛato yɛadwene asi yɛn mu han no so,

Na yɛanwene awia ne han a atwam akɔ, nso ɛgu so te yɛakoma mu yi,

Bosome a ɛrehyerɛn yɛn so no adaworoma.

Ԑfa a ɛwɔ yɛn no deɛ, yɛbɛyɛ

Kɔsi sɛ ahoɔden foforɔ bi bɛsane abɛhyɛ no ma.

Maadwo.

Owupa ho nyam ne deɛ ɛba nkwanna pii akyi no,

Nsonsonoeɛ biara nna ntam.

Author’s note: This is a translation of a poem by @OZionn – Good Evening, Mar-Ann-Joh. According to him, the play on Maya Angelou and the twi translation of Good Evening, which is the title of my version, was unintentional. Ha! Look at language and art. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
